Shaun utilizes several treatment modalities to customize her therapeutic approach to each client individually. She uses CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques with a trauma-informed scope and a holistic approach. As a social worker, Shaun believes that the environment a person is in and how the person responds must be considered for therapy to make the most positive impact in the client's life.
Shaun has experience working with adults who are struggling with depression, opioid addiction, anxiety, psychosis, substance abuse, perinatal mental health, self-esteem, self-care, gender dysmorphia, ADHD, and a host of other conditions.
Shaun offers a warm, friendly, judgment-free space for clients to express themselves openly and truthfully. Shaun fully believes in the collaborative approach to treatment, as no one knows you better than yourself. Clients' honest input is a must so that we can agree on goals and put together a treatment plan that will directly address their issues.
Shaun continuously works on her cultural competence and has experience working with clients from various cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, and belief systems. Shaun's passion for mental health stems from her belief that everyone wants to be happy and comfortable in their skin. Shaun hopes to help guide and encourage people to be their happiest and most authentic selves so that they not just live and survive but also grow and thrive.
